It was a fantastic, Christmassy evening in Rye at the mayor’s outdoor community carol singing party which took place on Saturday, December 17, hosted by the Right Worshipful Mayor, Cllr Andi Rivett. There was carol singing led by Jonathan Breeds, prayers from Rev Paul White and a huge crowd drawn by Ryebellion drummers; the townsfolk had a great evening. Rebekah Gilbert served everyone with drinks and refreshments.
The mayor welcomed those who came to share the joy of singing Christmas carols and to hear the drummers. He thanked Isabel Ryan for wrapping all the chocolates and all those who helped to make it such a great evening. It was such fun and the children all received chocolates from Mrs Claus.
