Here’s a roundup of some of the other stories making the news this week.

Water problems

There were two burst water mains at the weekend affecting Winchelsea and Icklesham, with supplies either cut off completely or at low pressure. The first was near the A259 at Buckswood, with the second at Guestling, both on Saturday June 8. Southern Water say services resumed later in the day in Winchelsea and Icklesham, but plans were put in place to deliver bottled water to around 100 properties in Guestling.
