Rother Voluntary Action will be holding their volunteer awards again this year with the presentation at their upcoming AGM on Wednesday, December 14 at Ashburnham Place, Battle, TN33 9NF.

Readers of Rye News are invited to nominate volunteers for this year’s awards. Organiser Annette Holmes writes: “We would love to hear from volunteers in the Rye area who are doing such a great job to celebrate what they are doing for their local community.

“Although the awards are obviously open to any volunteers, we are looking to specifically target volunteers who have not been recognised before, and who work with the following: young people; older people; in rural areas; smaller organisations; minority groups.”

Nominators are encouraged to think about volunteers who have made a difference to the organisation and the people they work with, and the impact their efforts have made to the community.

Please send your nominations to annette.holmes@rva.uk.com by Friday, October 21.
