Winchelsea and District Memorial Hospital were thrilled to receive a donation of £540 from Pippa Hudson, last Wednesday, July 26 . The money was raised through an Open Garden event at Pippa’s house in Mill Road, Rye. Pippa was helped, both throughout the day and by baking cakes for the event, by the Landgate W.I.

Raffle prizes were kindly donated by many local businesses including the Kings Head, Rye Butchers, Salts Farm Shop and Rye Cleaners. Pippa Hudson, pictured here with Celia Fairman and Kathy Lenihan, came to the hospital to hand over the £540 donation to hospital volunteer Ruth Close.

Pippa would like to thank The Landgate W.I., all those that donated raffle prizes and everybody that visited the garden and generously donated on the day.

The money is donated to the Friends of the Hospital for the enhancement of patient care.
