We are delighted to announce that we have received a generous grant from the Little Cheyne Court Windfarm which will allow us to develop Rye News, especially its layout and design.
Before we proceed, we want your views and comments. Please give us your feedback in our survey.
The survey will only take a couple of minutes and please feel free to add any additional comments. Remember, Rye News was established as your community newspaper so your input into its development really matters.
The survey closes on July 21 – so please don’t delay.
Rye News Community Interest Company applied for the grant through Sussex Community Foundation which administers the wind farm grants as well as other funds throughout Sussex including the Rye Fund. The Foundation checks the eligibility of all the applications from the groups, clubs and organisations and then asks a panel of local people to make the final decisions.
The original design for Rye News has worked well as a hyperlocal news site for the past three years but technology inevitably moves on and the success of the paper means that we must now make use of additional options and tools available to us which will make our site work even better.
We will report on our progress as we go along and you will see some positive changes later this year.
