Rye Cricket Club is offering winter coaching for young people aged 5-17 to be held from February 14, 2017, for 10 weeks with the final sessions on April 18. The club’s adults play in the Sussex County League, and Colts teams play in the Ashford & District Leagues.
Coaching sessions will be held at Rye sports centre under Ollie Rhys-Jones and Ben Clifton (Level 1 ECB coaches); Martin Blincow, Harry Smeed and John MacKenzie (Level 2 ECB); and Russell Wyatt (Level 3 ECB). Each session will consist of three one-hour slots: 5pm-6pm for primary age players, 6-7pm for school years 7-8, and 7-8pm for school grades 9-12.
Courses will involve group coaching and nets, with the bowling machine being used with secondary-age Colts. Equipment will be provided but players are welcome to bring their own. Please make sure items are clearly labelled with your child’s name.
The cost will be £30 for primary-age Colts and £50 for secondary-age Colts. To reserve a place make cheques payable to Rye Cricket Club and send to: Mr M Blincow, 38 Cadborough Cliff, Rye, East Sussex TN31 7EB.
If you have not previously been on a Rye coaching course, please put your address on the cheque, and the club will send you a registration form. Forms need to be returned by February 7, 2017.
