It seems nothing gets in the way of playing boules in Rye and it will take more than extensive works by the Environment Agency to phase Rye u3a boules group as they continue to play on regardless.
Many of you will be aware of the ongoing works, being carried out on the Strand Quay but perhaps not so many will know that the Environment Agency kindly provide a boules piste adjacent to their car parking area. This is used on a regular basis, by the two groups formed under the Rye and District u3a.
Both groups want to say a big thank you to the Agency, for making access to the boules piste during the next phase of works, along that part of the quay.
As you can see from the photo, the Wednesday Group have already taken up residence.
