Sport Relief is back! And there’s an opportunity for you to contribute at the Rye Leisure Centre. From March 17 to March 23 you will be able to take part in a ‘plank-off’.  From a minimum donation of £1 you can take part in holding a plank for as long as you can.

Your time must be witnessed by a member of the centre’s staff for it to count, who are themselves leading by example by donating and participating in this fantastic event by entering their personal times.
Not only will you be supporting this good cause, the female and male with the longest plank-holding times will win a month of free membership at the leisure centre. There will be a staff prize too as they do enjoy a bit of competition.
Taking their competitive streak a little further, they have challenged the neighbouring leisure centre down the road in Hastings. They will be mirroring the activities here in Rye, therefore bragging rights will be high on the agenda.
So do you have what it takes to hold a plank for the longest time? If you believe you have, dig deep, get motivated and show what you can do.
More importantly if you would like just to have some fun and be part of the fund raising for this worthy charity you have seven days from March 17 to get yourself to the centre.
The money raised through Sport Relief is used to help vulnerable people facing tough lives both at home in the UK and in the world’s poorest countries.
