Practice hardball sessions start next week, and league fixtures begin in the week commencing May 8 with two under 11 teams / under 13 / under 15 and a girls team.

For the Saturday adult teams, the monsoon has continued. Last Monday the rain gauge measured 33mm of rain between noon and 1am. Saturday’s fixture was called off on Tuesday morning as the Rye Cricket Salts reverted to type. Not even the best efforts of various club members could protect the square against the elements.

This Saturday the 2nds game at Wye is still going ahead, dependent on a pitch inspection on Friday. This means the league season starts next week without any pre-season fixtures.

We are always looking to welcome new adult members. Practice nets are held on Tuesdays and Fridays at 6pm at the Rye Cricket Salts.
