Saturday March 16 and Rye Town FC welcomed Sedlescombe Rangers to Rye Rugby Club for the final home game of the season.

After suffering a 6-0 defeat previously at the hands of Sedlescombe this was a golden opportunity to put the record straight.  However, it was Sedlescombe who broke the deadlock in the 23rd minute and one minute into the second half took a commanding 2-0 lead.

Town could not find a response, so it was the visitors who travelled home with 3 league points in their bag after their 2-0 victory.  The win took Sedlescombe into 4th place in the league a single point above Robertsbridge, but Robertsbridge do have a game in hand.  There was no change for Rye Town and they stay 6th in the East Sussex Premier League Table.  SJ Henham was Rye’s man of the match and R & J Cooper were the match sponsors.

Saturday March 23 Town face an away fixture versus Bexhill Town, kick off is at 12:30.   Mick Hovenden Upholstery is the match sponsor.
