Pupils and students at Rye Primary School and Rye College are to be congratulated for their hard work last week raising money for Children in Need.

The primary school children raised over £200 in donations by going to school in their pyjamas or dressed in spots, while the youngest children in Pugwash Nursery and Minnows Reception class completed a “Pedal for Pudsey” sponsored bike ride.

The Rye College Dance Dash Team for Children in Need managed to raise over £520 “dashing” to seven different primary schools in the surrounding area to perform their dance routine. Having rehearsed and trained hard throughout the Autumn term, they proved fantastic ambassadors for the school.

Well done to everyone who took part and to all who supported the children in their endeavours.
