Fans of Kyle Tatner’s delicious food can now sate their appetites at his beachside cafe, located at Broomhill Sands, between Camber and Jury’s Gap.

Since leaving the Mermaid hotel to set up his own catering company, the award winning Tatner has served up his fusion style food at festivals, weddings and private parties. Now he has opened a seaside eaterie at Broomhill Sands offering Rye Bay fish subs, halloumi baguettes and “Smoky Surfer” burgers with his own recipe sauce, all of which taste delicious. The menu includes garlic and rosemary fries, French sourdough toast and Fentiman’s soft drinks, as well as a selection of teas and coffees. On the day of our visit the freshly baked cake of the day was a Victoria sandwich of which TV baker Mary Berry would have been proud.

The cafe is open between 10am and 5pm from Wednesday to Sundays during the summer season, with weekend opening in winter. There are seating and dining facilities inside and outside. Parking is free and dogs are welcome. For details of catering services you can visit Tatner’s website here.
