Developed and created by Arabella Ansar, the newly rebuilt and redesigned app is available now for iOS users, with the Android version coming soon. The A Rye Good Time app for visitors, residents, and businesses in Rye now features a standout addition: ASK BENSON, an AI-powered, multilingual travel guide. With a nod to EF Benson, this interactive assistant helps users discover the best of Rye, providing personalised recommendations for attractions, dining, things to do, and more – all in multiple languages. ASK BENSON brings Rye’s unique charm to life in a whole new way.
In addition to ASK BENSON the app boasts a range of exciting next-generation applications. Users can now create personalised profiles to save their favourite spots, businesses, and events, making it even easier to navigate Rye and stay updated. The What’s On section aims to provide a comprehensive calendar of local events, from festivals to community gatherings, ensuring you never miss out on what’s happening in town.
The A Rye Good Time town app also displays rich media content, offering users an immersive visual experience that highlights the beauty and vibrancy of Rye – capturing why this charming East Sussex gem is cherished by both locals and visitors alike.

The easy-to-navigate interface consolidates all the essential information into one platform, allowing users to access what they need quickly and efficiently from a single source. You can locate and call a taxi firm in just three clicks! Rye News readers will also appreciate the convenience of accessing the latest updates, as they can read the news in just two clicks!
The app is available for download on iOS, and while we wait for the Android version now is the perfect time for local businesses, groups, and event organisers to get listed. By doing so, Rye’s local community will be ready for a full rollout to the general public once the app hits Android devices and the exciting new marketing campaign, designed by local graphic designer, Mark Baker kicks off.
Business owners are encouraged to get listed for free by clicking on the get listed button within the app. For those looking to increase their visibility, advertising packages will be available once the app is fully launched. Event organisers can also take advantage of the submit your event section, promoting their local events directly to the app’s users.
