As Pfizer’s two-dose Covid-19 vaccine has now received full approval from the US Food and Drug Administration – the first vaccine to be fully licensed in the USA; previously it was only classified for “emergency use ” – here at the Rye Pfizer Centre, in addition to vaccinating the over 18s, we have opened for 16 and 17 year olds. In the first two days of support for this group, we have seen hundreds arriving. The offer to 16- and 17-year-olds in England was made last week.

Rye centre opening hours are published on our Facebook page @ryepfizer.

We are also being asked about under 16s. The NHS guidance is that those aged 12 to 15 who are at clinical risk or living with an adult at clinical risk may book for vaccine via their GP before they return to school in September.
