Voting begins at 7am on Thursday, July 4 after the prime minister on Wednesday announced a general election.
The local electoral boundaries have had some minor changes since 2019. Electors in Udimore and Brede are now part of the Bexhill and Battle constituency, whilst Peasmarsh is now part of Hastings and Rye. There are no changes in Rye, Winchelsea, Camber, Iden and Pett.
Here’s who we know is standing so far from the main parties (in alphabetical order) although we will have to wait a few more weeks until names on the ballot paper are finally confirmed.
Labour – Helena Dollimore
Reform – Lucian Fernando
Liberal Democrats – Guy Harris
Conservatives – Sally-Ann Hart
Green – Becca Horn
