I may be reopening a can of worms (no pun intended) and I’m sorry that it is such a distasteful subject, but occasionally one encounters something so disgusting that it warrants being publicised.
My wife and I went for a gentle Sunday afternoon stroll around Rye wanting to enjoy the sunlit scenery, but we very quickly realised that rather than looking around as we went, we had to spend the whole time looking down at where we were putting our feet! Some offending piles of excrement were actually on the footpath by the fish market next to the children’s playground.
It seems that a handful of irresponsible and anti-social dog owners are in danger of giving the responsible majority a bad name. More seriously, this is detrimental to the environment and a health and safety hazard. It needs to be stopped.
