Rye News received the following letter last week from a very grateful visitor to the town. It goes a long way to restoring faith in human nature and we thought you might like to read it. Editor.
Hi
We visited Rye recently. After exploring the town we headed back to our accommodation which was about 25 mins away.
Sometime later we realised we had lost one of our phones in Rye. Apple find located it in Cinque Ports Street and we rushed back.
By the time we got to the apparent location it was two hours after we had last been there. At first we couldn’t locate the phone but then amazingly, we saw it propped up against a wall!
Thank you to the kind person who had found it and also it’s reassuring to know that nobody took it during the two hours that it was lost!
