Catering for the masses

Last Saturday was the Senlac Classic Car Show and Craft Fayre at Rye Rugby Club, (see A parade of classics) a great venue for a fantastic event, organised by the Rotary Club of Senlac. The weather was just right and the crowds just kept on coming, thankfully, Frankie Fernando and his catering unit were there to greet them.

Frankie now has a permanent pitch at Rye Rugby Club with his stylish catering unit next to the club house, serving a tempting menu from the grill and for dessert there’s always Frankie’s Ices who were also there serving ice creams non stop.

Well worth the wait

The queues for both were there all day with Frankie and his team hardly having time to draw breath, working their socks off to cater for all the hungry customers.

Frankie’s Ices, very popular

You will also find him at the beach at Jury’s Gap in Camber, there 7 days-a-week working long hours and proving to be very popular, as covered by Rye News recently.

His hard work has not gone unnoticed and it’s no wonder he won the Extra Mile Award at the Let’s do business 1066 Hastings and Rother Business Awards, an award which celebrates an organisation that goes above and beyond, setting the gold standard for customer service and satisfaction.

Frankie receiving his award

Who knows, if his business continues to thrive, perhaps he may consider expanding internationally. When he does, Rye News will be there – the next headline could read Frankie goes to Hollywood.
