Sing It Out! the mindful choir whose mantra is ‘All will be well’, will be hosting a Christmas carol concert from 7:30pm on Thursday, December 15 in collaboration with Rye Retreat.

“There’s about twelve of us” said Joanna Allen, spokesperson for the choir. “We will be singing on the cobbles outside Rye Retreat and collecting for their chosen charity, the Rye Foodbank. We will also be collaborating with Spencer’s Bar who will be serving mulled cider and other festive drinks on the evening, with £1 from every drink sold being donated to Rye Foodbank.”

The theme of the concert will be Christmas songs from around the world, but some of the favourite classics will be in there as well.

Sing It Out! use singing, learning and laughter to melt their stresses and worries away, and their mantra is a sentiment they try to take into their everyday lives to encourage calm and serenity, even in the most turbulent of times.

“We are a weekly choir”, adds Joanna, “and everyone is welcome. We sing arrangements created and taught by the talented Rebecca Lodge Birkebaek. With her guidance we work together to create a beautiful sound while having a lot of fun in the process.”

People are encouraged to come along on Thursday, December 15, join in the singing, donate to Rye Foodbank, savour the mulled wine and enjoy the festive spirit. The choir are always looking for new members and will be happy to connect with anyone interested in joining.
