A town full of Christmas magic

After such a wonderful start on Friday night to Christmas in Rye, Saturday was a day full of fun for the children, mulled wine for the adults and music for all the family. Caroline Drummond said: “What a wonderful Christmas festival, well done to everyone involved this year. Kenzo, my son had the most fabulous time. After hours of intense emotions, meeting the elves, Mother Christmas and getting to see the big man himself, Kenzo left the grotto and exclaimed he had had the best day ever. You can’t get better than that. Thank you all.”

Lisa Stacey, owner of Craft Magic on the High Street told me that they had created an outdoor workshop and 145 children came and made their own Christmas decorations. “It was wonderful to take our shop out onto the High Street and see so many children having fun. There was such a festive atmosphere and having no cars is such a great idea and we would love to see more days like that a year. It was a great day for everyone.”
