With Rye Flower and Veg show day fast approaching on August 31, we are delighted to unveil the colourful and stylish show posters created for us by Kirsty Doherty of Pure Creative Design.
The posters will be on display very shortly and you will be able to collect the full schedule from various locations around the town including Adams of Rye, Bargain Box, The Library, Simply Rye and Café des Fleurs.

This year we are proud to be presenting the Banksian Medal, on behalf of the RHS, to the winner of the most points in the horticultural class. Because we are celebrating our 15th year we will also be presenting a beautiful crystal bowl to the overall winner of the show in addition to a Waterford crystal clock for the most points in the horticultural classes.
We are also introducing a brand new competition for under 18s. Invent, illustrate and describe a tasty sandwich featuring some ingredients that might grow in the garden. You can enter using the form in the schedule too.
“We are excited about this aspect of the children’s section and will be hoping that the entries will include an illustration and description including the type of bread, spread, filling, homegrown ingredients and dressing”, said joint organiser, Lorna Hall.
Most important of all, there is still time to plant something in your garden, make something for the handicraft section, take a photograph or plan a cake or a jar of jam. So why not join us on the August 31 at the Community Centre for a great afternoon?
