John Cowell, Mat Ashby and Arabella Ansar met last year after discovering their shared passion for connecting and collaborating with creatives in the local community.
Over tea and cakes at the Kino in Rye they explained: “At Design Sussex our aim is to connect creative communities in our county by regularly organising events, whether it be networking, fun socials, screenings, lectures or ‘Meet the Creative’ exhibition days.”
“As creatives we often don’t get to meet and mingle with like-minded people and with a host of wonderfully interesting and different creative individuals in Rye and beyond, our events are a great opportunity to connect with others, form friendships, collaborate and meet other creatives in Rye and the immediate surrounding area.”
So whether you are an interior designer, film maker, sculptor, musician, cake baker, graphic designer, artist or architect, Design Sussex events are informal gatherings where you can widen your network and enjoy meeting others with creative backgrounds. The aim is to build a supportive community in which creatives can help each other.
