On Saturday, August 5, a large gathering of villagers from East Guldeford and their friends had a barbecue of lamb and beef burgers plus sausages in the church grounds. In St Mary’s church they enjoyed refreshments and folk music played by local musicians, writes Dennis Leeds-George.
The village events for the year are a tea party in September,  harvest festival on October 1, a bonfire in the church grounds on November 4, Rye singers Christmas carols on Sunday, December 17 and a Christmas celebration on December 24.
