The popular Feast of Delights, a Designer and Maker’s fair, is back this year at Rye Creative Centre over the weekend of November 25-26, between 10am-4pm on each day. There is no admission fee for the fair and everyone is welcome.
The centre will be hosting amazing artists and craftspeople along with community entertainment, creative workshops and music. This is a great event for all members of the family – with something for everyone
This fair will be a treasure trove for everyone hunting for unique and special Christmas presents as well as items to treat yourself. You are guaranteed to find unusual and beautiful items as we have a huge variety of local makers including textile artists, printmakers, woodturners, painters, ceramicists, artisan stationers, jewellers, photographers, glass artists and traditional craftspeople.
Everyone attending can get into the festive spirit by decorating two Christmas baubles in our community workshop that will be running each day – one bauble will be for you to take home and one will be for our Christmas tree.
On the Saturday, local artist Julia Andrews-Clifford will be running a collage workshop called Ordinary Icons (£25 per person, bookable in advance). In this workshop you’ll be able to produce a box-framed 3D collage portrait – this could be of yourself, a family member or friend to take home as a unique hand-crafted present this Christmas. The Scrummylicious cafe will be open on site serving up excellent home baking, their sausage rolls with onion chutney are a firm favourite!
