Flower and veg goes online

Lockdown has been a bit of a nuisance, to put it mildly, for many people, but it has also given many of us an opportunity to get the things done that we have been postponing. One of the main things Rye Flower and Veg Show wanted to achieve this year was to launch our website, and we are now delighted to announce that it is up and running.

You can view the colourful website at www.ryeflowerandvegshow.co.uk and you will find out when next year’s show is planned – Saturday August 28 2021 by the way. You will also be able to browse our photo gallery and keep up to date with our plans. Next year you will also be able to download the show schedule and the entry forms too.

This year has produced some interesting weather and we know from personal experience that whilst some veggies and fruit have been very successful, others have been plagued by the drought, insects and the high winds. Our website has an interesting blog page at”‘News and Your Stories” and we would love to publish some of your stories, images, glut recipes –  in fact anything gardening and baking related and relevant to recent events.

Do you have a delightful dahlia, some super sourdough bread, or a beautiful butternut squash, or an interesting tip or tale? If so, please feel free to pop something over to us on the contact page and we would love to publish it. You will see that we have already received a brilliant article from Shelley with some excellent photographs. More of the same or similar please.

We look forward to seeing what you’ve all been up to.
