Rye College wants to highlight the work that students have been doing recently. The aim this year was to make Christmas a happier time for many families, and this was certainly achieved.
A spokesperson said: “A huge thank you to all our students and families who kindly donated to our Christmas charity activity this year. The team from Rye Foodbank came over to meet our student leaders and collect the vast number of items this morning. We were blown away by the generosity of our school, proudly demonstrating one of our core values of ‘Being Kind’.
“The donations will make a big difference to lots of families within our community this Christmas, and many of our thoughtful students had also drawn and written Christmas cards to include within the parcels!
