Feeling the need to ease those stiff joints in this chilly weather? Gentle Yoga at Iden Village Hall is just the thing to help you stretch, tone and improve your balance and breathing.
Tutor Margot Dixon has 45 years teaching experience, the classes are suitable for all ages and abilities, and men and women are welcome. Gentle means you don’t have to lie on the floor – there is a chair to hand if you wobble!
Margot aims to keep participants standing as long as possible with the aim of loosening tight joints and strengthening muscles, improving posture and breathing, and building confidence with balance. It is a non-competitive, light-hearted and fun group.
The classes take place on Thursdays at 9:15am-10am in Iden Village Hall. Margot has obtained a grant from Active Rother so the fee will be £2.50 for the next few weeks after which it will return to the usual £5. This is just one of the many activities taking place at our busy village hall.

Gentle folk? This makes us sound positively geriatric!
Not my title Margot!
I have never tried yoga before so recently joined this class to try it & I really feel the benefit from it, I ached in places so I must have used muscles I hadn’t used before! Margot is a brilliant teacher and, no, I am definitely not geriatric!
Do I need to book for this class – if so how? Or just turn up?
Hi Patricia, you are more than welcome to just turn up – it will be lovely to see you!
