Funding with a total of £100,000 provided by the Rural England Prosperity Fund, part of the government’s Levelling Up plans to support the rural economy and rural communities, has been announced by Rother District Council and is open for applications.

Funding is for capital projects, such as buildings or equipment, with the aim to “strengthen our social fabric and foster a sense of local pride and belonging in Rother through investment in activities that enhance physical, cultural and social ties and amenities”.

Applicants can apply for capital grants of up to £20,000 and must have at least 50% of the total funding already in place.

Examples of eligible projects, information and guidance on the application process and online application form can be found here.

Rother Voluntary Action (RVA) which supports community groups, charities and social enterprises across Rother, offer help and support to complete the application forms.
