The lovely village of Iden – just two miles from Rye on the Wittersham Road – is holding its Open Gardens Event in aid of the restoration of its wonderful Grade-One-listed 12th-century church.

In all seven gardens will be open from 11am to 5pm on Sunday June 9 and there will again be the garden trains which are an amazing attraction for both young and older railway enthusiasts.

Teas, plants, and paintings will be for sale and there is plenty of car parking available. Lunches will be available at the Bell Inn

Tickets are just £5 for the day and will be sold at the participating gardens – watch out for the coloured flags! Accompanying children are free.

This is always a very popular event and a splendid day out for everyone and organised by the Friends of Iden Church.
