The Pre-loved Fashion and Homeware shop at Cinque Ports Street is doing well. The many passing summer visitors to the town, hell bent on ticking Mermaid Street off their itinerary, are enticed in after seeing the attractive, eye catching, fresh window display and then the bargain rail that we usually have in the entrance, making for a light-hearted holiday atmosphere recently and swelling the coffers into the bargain.
We have several new volunteers, Yvonne, Carolyn and Keran. All three are hardworking and cheerful, with a good sense of humour! Our very latest helper is Laura who has recently come over from America with her family and has settled in well. Laura attends ARRCC as a member and is very busy in the art room amongst other activities there which she tells me she enjoys.
Now, with the changing seasons, the cottony, summer dresses, shorts etc. are disappearing and we are taking out of moth balls the woollens. Lightweight autumn/ winter clothing is selling a little now so we are certainly almost nearly ready for the change. Come and see our new range. Something for everyone!
We are always looking for people to help out in the ARRCC Charity Shop in Rye. If interested please contact Irene on 07851 802900 or Jacky on 07767 168006
