Come one, come all and have a go at Sir Jollylot’s Lucky Dip on Saturday, December 3 from 12pm to 4pm as part of the Christmas in Rye Festival. Hosted by Rory’s Medieval Tour of Rye, it is being held inside, up the steps in the reception of the Old Borough Arms on the Strand.

The exciting lucky dip is full of surprise prizes of toys and sweets waiting to be discovered, with each prize including a free Queen Elizabeth jubilee colouring sheet. Alongside this will be a stall selling a wide selection of handmade items perfect for presents and stocking fillers. On sale will be hand painted keyrings and earrings, bookmarks, posters, colouring books, Christmas cards, history quiz books, and two types of 2023 calendars.

The cost of the lucky dip is £2 a go for adults and £1 a go for children, cash only as cards are not accepted.

Come and have a go – you never know what you might win!

Rory’s Medieval Tour of Rye Facebook page has regular ‘On this day’ posts about events from the medieval period and weekly Medieval Brainiac quizzes full of fascinating information and brilliant pictures all researched by Sir Rory de Cross (he of last summer’s Medieval quiz at the Old Borough Arms).
