Museum garden party a great success

Rye Castle Museum celebrated its summer garden party last Friday August 26. The weather was optimal, not too hot, with a light breeze and no rain. This was in marked contrast to the previous year when high winds caused the venue to be moved at the last minute to the museum building on East Street, from the garden outside Ypres Castle.

A good time was had by all, with meat free snacks and biodegradable napkins being provided by organisers concerned about environmental issues.
