The Gallivant hotel and restaurant has appointed Elise Roberts as the new General Manager of the celebrated restaurant with rooms in Camber.
Roberts started her career in hospitality at the Grosvenor House rising rapidly through the ranks to become one of the youngest Cluster Director of Sales for the Waldorf and Trafalgar Hotels aged 26. She was then headhunted to join the Aviator Hotel by TAG at Farnborough Private Airport, ostensibly as Director of Sales and Marketing but in reality, working across all departments.
Roberts says “I am incredibly excited to join the Gallivant. The owner has ambitious expansion plans and I am looking forward to attracting more passionate hospitality professionals with our industry leading remuneration packages to this emerging destination. It’s also going to be lovely to move out of London and live by the coast. I am really looking forward to the improvement in lifestyle that this will entail!”
Owner Harry Cragoe says “Elise was just the person I was looking for to take the Gallivant on to the next chapter of its story and assist with my plans to open more Gallivants. She’s a charming industry leader and goes about her day with a quiet professionalism.”
The Gallivant is a Restaurant with Rooms directly opposite magnificent Camber Sands, looking onto the seagrass-fringed dunes. The Gallivant has 20 luxury rooms, many with private decks and gardens, and a guest “larder” stocked with a plethora of delicious treats as well as a newly opened “Beach Hut” spa room, with delicious treatments from WiDEYE. The Gallivant has a 3-star rating from The SRA, one of 73 which marks it out as one of the most sustainable restaurants in the UK.
