Saturday, September 17 will be a very exciting day at the pillbox on the reserve.  Throughout the day from 10am to 4pm you will be able to learn about the role of the pillboxes in the 1940 plans to defeat the German invasion. This event has been funded by the Heritage Fund and you will be able to meet people from the Rye Harbour History group who have lots of fascinating facts to impart.

Peter Hibbs of Sussex Military Research will deliver a talk at 2pm at the discovery centre.
