It was a cold, cold day at Rye Harbour last week, but this didn’t deter the crew who were ready for assessment by Dave Needham, RNLI divisional assessor trainer.

Dave Needham, training assessor at RNLI Rye Harbour

Huge congratulations to all who took part and thank you to Dave for his constant support and encouragement.

Rob Jennings is now one step away from being helm as he passed his mock pass-out and will be assessed in the next few weeks. Great work Rob, all that dedication and hard work has borne fruit.

Luke Bishop passed Navigation Command while Jack Iliffe and Iain Cebunka both passed multiple modules. Jack, VHF, Launch and Recovery and Local Knowledge. Iain, Local Knowledge, Command and Manage Launch and Recovery. Steve Spooner also passed VHF.

Thank you to all the shore crew who turned out to support their fellow volunteers because without tractor drivers, shore crew and a launching authority none of this can take place.

RNLI Rye Harbour team, once again, you proved teamwork makes the dream work.
