Unless you’ve been living under a rock you’ll know that this year the Eurovision Song Contest is taking place in Liverpool on behalf of Ukraine who won last year but couldn’t host the event due to the ongoing Russian invasion. This year, for the first time, the public will be able to vote via SMS, website and official app, so fingers crossed for UK contestant Mae Muller with her entry I wrote a song.
The Brewery Yard Club have designed a fun-filled night for the grand final this Saturday, May 13 with Eurovision-themed fun games, prizes for best dressed, auction, raffle and a sweepstake with proceeds going to Rye’s Ukrainian refugee hub – Homes 4 Ukraine. A cohort of young Ukrainian mums from the Hub will be joining the party to cheer on their home nation and enjoy a great night out!
A call out to local businesses for raffle donations via The Rye & District Chamber Of Commerce resulted in a phenomenal response. Dozens of donations flooded in, some so generous they will be auctioned off during the show in addition to the raffle. Auction lots include 4x headline tickets to the Rye Jazz Festival, and a two day glamping experience at Swallowtail Hill Farm in Beckley worth a whopping £300!
A few tickets remain if you are quick!
