RNLI Rye Harbour was a hive of activity and assessments today when Dave Needham, South East Assessor and Trainer visited the station. He was impressed with how much work the crew members had done since his last visit and pleased to be able to pass so many modules.
Luke Bishop was assessed for his helm mock pass out and he passed with flying colours. He will now be put forward to the pass out with a different assessor. Dave says this is important because he doesn’t mark his own homework and it is better to have a new eye to take over the final assessment. He felt Luke was ready to pass out as soon as possible.
Tim Dickinson and Paul Bolton revalidated their LTA (Local Trainer Assessor) plan. This means that we as a station can pass shore and boat modules on site.
James Arter completed his head launcher plan too. Tia Bolton passed her emergency procedure module. Mark Stephenson passed modules on his shore plan assessed by Paul Bolton.
Another great day at the Harbour, well done to everyone. A big thank you to all those who turned up as crew and shore crew to make this possible.
