On the last Friday of each month, parked in the car park behind the Hub on Rye Hill you will see the van, featured in the photograph, together with Steve Clark and Wayne Burgess. They are from the Sarah Lee Trust and between the hours of 11am and 1pm they are there to receive your donations.
They are looking for clothing, homeware, electrical goods, bric-a-brac, jewellery, toys and books. So, if you are having a clear out, emptying the loft, garage or shed and you think you have something which someone else could benefit from just bring it along to the van, Wayne and Steve will load it up for you and take it away to be sold.
The money raised will give support to people in Rother who have been diagnosed with cancer or another life-threatening illness by providing free counselling, complementary therapies and group activities specifically designed to work alongside medical treatment.
Have a look at their website www.saraleetrust.org and let them make good use of the things you now have no use for. If you want to speak to them call 01424 456608 or email on info@saraleetrust.org.
