The Rother Environmental Group is arranging a guided tour of RSPB Dungeness on July 23. This is the RSPB’s oldest extant nature reserve. The first land was acquired in 1930 with the reserve formed in 1932. It now occupies nearly four square miles of Dungeness and is home to a host of wildlife including birds, amphibians, insects and plants. Join the tour and find out how much Dungeness has to offer. Price: £7 per person (£5.60 for RSPB members)
Time: 10am (for 10:15 start) – 12:15 (approx.)
Transport: It is possible to get there by bus by using the 102 from Rye to Lydd and the 11 from Lydd Camp to Boulderwell Farm. However, car sharing will be arranged from Rye. If you are able to offer a lift or need one please indicate when booking your place.
Lunch: As we will finish at lunch time we thought that a picnic lunch on site before returning would be nice. There are no catering facilities on-site so please bring along your food and drink (although there is a hot drinks machine).
