What amazing sunny weather we’re all enjoying at the moment (most of the time) with some of the highest reported temperatures on record and, with all that is going on around us (for those who get the time to enjoy a little self indulgence), sitting in the sun is a great antidote – an opportunity to relax and forget, for a few moments, about life’s pressures.
But, whilst I’m not trying to put a damper on things, there is plenty of evidence available which proves that sitting in the sun for long periods can also have serious health implications, so what do you do?
You want to take advantage of this glorious sunshine, you want to look good and feel uplifted, but you don’t want to put yourself in a position where your health could be compromised. There is a solution and for those who want the ‘just come back from a holiday in the sun look’ a body tan could be an answer to your dilemma.
I saw the vehicle in the top photograph, gleaming in the sunshine, parked up at the rear of the Rope Walk Arcade in Rope Walk, and I had seen it driving around the local area, but hadn’t realised the connection with the Tanning Boutique until I read the graphics above the BOBBIE number plate and the signage on the first floor of the building.
The Tanning Boutique is owned and run by by Bobbie Marshall offering flexible appointment times and a variety of services in addition to spray tanning which include beauty, cosmetic and personal care. If you look at the recent video on their Facebook page you can see just how well their shop is presented and I have adapted a statement posted on line confirming how they are coping with the current situation.
“Just a little bit about us down at the Tanning Boutique, all safety measures are in place and all members of staff have Covid certificates. We are also now taking card payments to make life a little easier for our clients that are looking for the perfect tan on our amazing lay down and stand up beds.
“We offer spray tanning which is done by a qualified member of our team and we have a full range of creams and tanning accessories just to add that little special feeling of pampering yourself. We also offer a range of clothing and accessories in salon and all staff are more than happy to answer any questions you may have through and after your consultation.”
So, if you want an alternative to soaking up the natural sunshine, why not try something a bit different and book yourself into the Tanning Boutique. Appointments can be made by calling Bobbie Marshall on 07376 050206 or email her on tanningboutique@yahoo.com
