As Winchelsea prepares for Christmas and the traditional services in St Thomas’ church (above), 27 windows will light up in surrounding homes.

Decorated in tune with the theme of Christmas music, they can be seen from this Saturday, December 15, until Saturday December 29 between 4:30pm and 8:30pm each evening.

This popular festive tradition of decorated windows is this year in aid of the charity Air Ambulance Kent, Surrey and Sussex and maps of where the windows can be found (along with associated greetings cards and badges) can be purchased from the Farm Kitchen Shop or the New Inn.

This year five of the decorated windows have been designed by local children.
