Award-winning local author Anwesha Arya has been offering a range of writing workshops at the Rye Bookshop. Part One on creative writing took place on Sunday June 24 and was fully subscribed.
Part Two will be a poetry workshop this coming Sunday July 8. Based on Ted Hughes’ writing practice exercises, this includes exploration of poetry’s hows and whys and looking at the rhythm, pattern, sound and sense of contemporary poems.
Places are limited so booking is advised – cost £10 per person includes three-hour workshop, tea, nibbles (samosas) and the possibility of creating some new and exciting literary work. Aspiring and established writers are welcome from age nine to 99!
