Fun times for families

Rye Foodbank put on a festival party for some Rye families on Monday, December 16.

The hall at the Baptist church on Cinque Ports Street was transformed with long tables covered in white linen, laden with crisps, chocolates and sweets and Christmas crackers.

Around 50 people were treated to homemade minestrone soup, French bread and pizza along with mini sausages, pork pies and mince pies.

The children were entertained brilliantly by Bailey Givens, who did tricks, juggled and spun plates giving children opportunities to try these too.

The evening ended with a funbola with all guests winning prizes, kindly donated by local schools and businesses.

It was a really lovely evening enjoyed by one and all.
