Lottery cash boost

FAiR (Friends Altogether in Rother) are thrilled to announce the charity has been generously supported by The National Lottery Community Fund with a whopping £19,900. This is a huge acknowledgement of the services FAiR is delivering for the communities of Rural Rother.

This means continuation of our monthly Tilling, Tea and Cake and development of our new Companionship Calls telephone befriending service for another 12 months. Just as importantly, our services will remain FREE for our service users and community visitors.

Our most recent event saw 34 participants join us at the Tilling Green Community Centre, several of whom were new. As well as hearing about the opportunities to be enjoyed by joining U3A, Jeff Penfold spoke about the wonderful ‘Charity For Kids’.

Everyone there was able to share in our good news and enjoy our free refreshments and access to free community support, services and activities, as we continue our mission to reduce isolation and loneliness through providing wellbeing and community engagement
opportunities

Without The National Lottery players’ support, the grant wouldn’t have been possible. For this, we are immensely grateful to all the general public who buy lottery tickets and to the National Lottery Community Fund for supporting small, local organisations such as FAiR. We’re so proud to now be including the pink Community Fund bunting which complements our FAiR event colours so beautifully.
